Who am I?

Dylan Bushong

I am new to the Web Development world, so there is a lot to learn for me. Although I have no experience in coding or web design, I am quick to learn and hope I can pick up the essentials by the end of the course. I hope to game knowledge in the world of programing in order to build up my resume for my upcoming job search. Being a Technical Communications minor, it is important for me to understand the basics of web design and building. I am interested in learning how to build new and unique websites, whether it be hand coding or using a site builder. I am also interested in the basics of hand coding. I have a lot of experience with different forms of technology, but I never learned how to work the program once it begins to run. I very little previous work with web design or development. I have aided in the layout of a website for a previous class, but a partner created it. Furthermore, understanding the underlying functions of a program with be useful as technology continues to expand and grow into higher forms. I am excited for what I will be learning this year. I am interested in what is being shown and from what I have read.

Hello! My name is Dylan Bushong, and I am a first-generation, senior General Studies major from Texas Tech University. My fields of concertation are Spanish, Technical Communications, and Management. I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, but now reside in Spring, Texas.  I am currently a student in English 3368, which is called World Wide Publishing of Technical Information. Through this course, I hope to become more familiar with web design, and even go as far as being able to hand code. At the moment, I am just starting out with Web development; therefore, most things I learn in this class will be new to me. With all the information I learn, I hope to go into the field of Technical Communications with a concertation of Public Relations or Marketing. Since I am bilingual, I hope to be able to work with companies overseas and maintain foreign affairs. I currently work as a student assistant for the Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development Center on Texas Tech campus. This job has taught me many valuable lessons, such as deadline recognition and customer service. When I am not in school, I’m an avid musician and sports follower. I partake in many community activities, as well as social events. I am so a huge beard enthusiast, so it is pretty easy to pick me out from a crowd. I am eager to graduate and move on into adulthood.
